Either
$$ ax-2b=0 $$
$$ x=\frac{2b}{a} $$
or
$$ ax-b=0 $$
$$ x=\frac{b}{a} $$
Hence,
$$ \boxed{x=\frac{2b}{a},\ \frac{b}{a}} $$
